Clay Claiborne, CPO
​
Clay was born and raised in Charlotte, NC, and attended NC State University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business. His career started in the family business, Slug’s Restaurants. Despite success in the restaurant business, Clay felt a strong desire to help people and make a difference in the lives of others. To fulfill this desire, he attended the University of California at Dominguez Hills where he graduated with a certificate in Prosthetics and Orthotics.
He has over 25 years of experience as a Certified Prosthetist Orthotist. In 2005, Clay founded Claiborne Prosthetics & Orthotics to better serve the Charlotte community. Throughout his career, Clay has worked with all levels of amputees. His experience with different components and designs has given him a vast knowledge of developing a system that is most beneficial to the individual patient.

Clay is an American Board Certified (ABC) Prosthetist Orthotist. In addition, Clay holds many certifications for high level prostheses and orthoses.
​
Clay started an amputee Support Group in Charlotte with monthly meetings on educational topics. Clay believes in the team approach: including doctors, therapists, family and friends to meet his patients’ needs.
Michael Franz, CTP, BOCP
​
Michael was raised in Charlotte. His brother is in the O&P field and after visiting him at work a few times, he fell in love with prosthetics. He got his start as a Certified Tech in 2007 and did his schooling at Century College prior to becoming a Certified Prosthetist in 2015. What Michael loves most about this field is the hands on aspect and the craftwork that goes into it. While he loves all the fabrication of a tech, meeting his first amputee and working with them is what drew him into patient care and becoming a practitioner.

Michael enjoys mountain biking, kayaking, yardwork, and home renovations. He loves spending time with his wife, two daughters, and dog, George.
Katie Fisher, CPO
​
Katie is originally from PA where she completed her Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology at Pennsylvania State University in 2011 and her Masters of Prosthetics and Orthotics at University of Pittsburgh in 2013. She has practiced in Chicago, IL and Denver, CO prior to making Charlotte her new home in 2022. Pediatrics is her true passion and loves being able to see a child being carried into the office and then running with a glowing smile out the office in their new braces.

In her free time, Katie loves exploring this new city with her husband and dog, Riley. She loves hiking, cheering on her Nittany Lions and exploring breweries around the city.
Elaine Claiborne, Controller
Elaine was raised in a military family and grew up all over the world. She has called Charlotte home since 1987. She was introduced to the field at a young age as her brother is a CPO in Texas, though she herself became an accountant in 1980. Elaine was reintroduced to the field after marrying Clay and becoming Claiborne's in house CPA. She loves that working the books is like a jigsaw puzzle, slowing putting together different pieces until she comes up with a beautiful solution.

Hiking is how Elaine enjoys spending her free time along with time spent with her grandkids.
Roya Behrouzjou, Office Administrator- Pediatrics
​
Roya is from North Carolina. She worked as a CNA at the start of her career prior to getting into orthotics and prosthetics in 2018. What she loves most about the field is the process of helping kids get their braces and watching them thrive.
​
Roya loves animals. She spends her free time with her boyfriend and dog, Roxy. Her favorite things to do are going on road trips, singing karaoke, going to concerts, and baking.
Chiffon Belton, Office Administrator- Adults
​
Chiffon is originally from Queens, NY, but has called NC home for the past 20 years. She is new to the O&P field and got her start in 2021. Prior to that, Chiffon was working as a surgical technician. Her favorite part of the job is watching the process of a new prosthetic patient as they re-learn how to walk.
​
What Chiffon loves most is being a mom. She has four kids and a dog, Diva. She enjoys spending time with her husband, reading, and cooking.
Tracy Love, Biller
​
Tracy is from Boston, MA. She moved to Charlotte in 2022. She has been in the O&P field since 2005, working on the administrative side as a biller and an office manager. She loves how rewarding the field is and her favorite part is watching a patient "roll in and walk out".
​
In her spare time, Tracy enjoys spending time with her son, her cat, Milo, and dog, Jazz. She loves to cook and decorate her new home.
